Our Story – Incredible Edible Leeds

An idea germinates in Garforth, east Leeds.

The first planters sprout up in Garforth and soon grow to other areas.

New groups germinate in Morley, South Milford and Kippax. Alongside Headingley, Moortown and Oakwood.

We become a CIC, launch our wildlife project and build new beds as part of our Edible Station project.

Thanks to National Lottery funding, we double the number of locations across the city that have edible beds.

Steady growth sees four more projects join the Incredible Edible Leeds community.

We spend a bit of time maintaining and supporting our exiting groups but do launch two new projects.

We currently support over twenty areas of Leeds to run their own Incredible Edible projects.
